Aida manages development projects out of the Vancouver office for New Commons Development. Aida is an architect by training with over 15 years of combined international experience. She transitioned into real estate development five years ago with particular interest in non-profit community development.

Aisha supports the creation of affordable housing across Canada. Aisha’s background is in development, planning, and engineering. She is experienced in guiding projects from feasibility through design and development. Aisha has worked for over 2 years on a number of new construction and retrofit projects with various non profits. She is enthusiastic about sustainable development and innovative housing solutions.

Ali supports financial operations, accounting, and analysis across the New Market Funds platform. He brings over five years of experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, budgeting, and process optimization, with a background in the real estate and veterinary care sectors.

Andy is a member of New Market Funds’ management committee and is responsible for New Commons Development. He has more than 25 years of experience in non-profit real estate development including over 13 years launching and managing funds at Vancity and Housing Vermont.

Bhoomika supports investment analysis and deal execution across the New Market Funds platform. Previously, she spent nearly five years at BlackRock strengthening relationships with Canadian institutional investors and supporting due diligence across public and private market funds. She co-founded the Montreal Propel Impact Fund in university and now serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Propel Impact.

Brice works on the analysis of investments across the NMF platform. Prior to joining NMF, Brice worked as a consultant in a capital markets sustainable finance firm in Montreal, as well as a financial analyst in private and corporate banking in Paris and Geneva. Brice earned a Master’s degree in Management Accounting and Corporate Finance in France, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Callum manages the acquisition of affordable housing projects for NMF Rental Housing Funds I and II. He brings over eight years of experience across the real estate spectrum, including pan-European, multi-asset portfolios. Most recently, he deployed Blackstone-managed funds through a for-profit provider in the UK’s affordable and social-led housing sector.

Carling supports real estate development and project coordination at New Commons Development. She brings five years of experience in the architecture industry and an educational background in urban planning.

Chloe supports the investment analysis and deal execution process across the New Market Funds platform. Prior to joining NMF, Chloe spent two summers working in the multifamily real estate sector with a focus on ESG integration.

David manages development projects out of the Toronto office for New Commons Development. He has over 10 years of experience in sustainability consulting and project management in private mixed-used and multi-family high-rise residential construction and public housing projects.

Derek is a member of New Market Funds’ management committee and is responsible for the Community Forward Fund Assistance Corp. He has over 20 years of experience leading community housing and development corporations with Toronto Community Housing and Build Toronto, and has deployed over $500M in real estate in Canada.

Dion leads the New Commons Development’s national team and directs NCD’s small communities projects. With 14+ years experience in sustainable community development, social enterprise, and affordable housing, Dion brings a unique set of skills to support our community partners in the preservation and development of affordable housing.

Ellen manages development projects out of the Toronto office for New Commons Development. She has worked with various non-profits and co-operatives to develop affordable rental housing. Ellen is trained as an urban planner and currently sits on the board of the Ottawa Community Land Trust.

Garth is a member of New Market Funds’ management committee and is responsible for the New Market Funds platform. He has more than 25 years of experience in capital deployment including with Vancity, Turtle Creek and Scotia Bank.

Gloria oversees the financial, operational, and impact performance of New Commons Housing Trust’s growing affordable housing portfolio. Drawing on her experience leading property management for mixed-use social purpose real estate, she also advises on operational needs supporting acquisitions, investments, and developments across the New Market Funds platform.

Hadley leads partnerships and stakeholder relations at New Market Funds. This includes investor management, organizational strategy across the platform, and public policy leadership. With 15 years of experience in the philanthropic, social impact, and non-profit sectors, she supports New Market Funds’ organizational vision to deliver impact capital for communities nationwide.

Heather leads the investment and portfolio management for the Community Forward Fund and the Canadian Co-operative Investment Fund.

Heather is a member of New Market Funds’ management committee, leading the organization’s development work. She has more than 20 years of experience in affordable housing and sustainability using both non profit and for profit models. Prior to joining New Markets she was the CEO of Options for Homes, Canada’s largest non profit delivering attainable ownership housing. She is a Loeb Fellow at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.

Joseph oversees and supports a dynamic development team working on projects across Eastern Canada. He brings seven years of planning experience, drawing on both private-sector and affordable housing expertise to help advance sustainable community solutions.

Lauren manages financial operations and analysis across the New Market Funds platform. She has over 10 years of financial and management experience in a combination of public, private and social enterprise. She holds a CPA,CA designation and a BAcc (Hons) from Brock University.

Lena manages the acquisition of affordable housing projects for NMF Rental Housing Funds I and II. She has over 5 years of experience working in impact investing, community development, and impact measurement.

Liora supports the financial operations and analysis across the New Market Funds platform. She has over 6 years of finance and accounting experience working in non-profits and real estate accounting.

Matt oversees the accounting operations, financial reporting functions and process improvement across the New Market Funds platform. He brings more than seven years of accounting and assurance experience in the asset and wealth management and real estate industries in Canada and internationally.

Matt Putra manages financial operations and analysis across the New Market Funds platform. He has over 10 years of financial and management experience in a combination of public, private and social enterprise.

Nikki manages development projects out of the Vancouver office for New Commons Development. She has worked in the construction industry for almost 20 years with a background in designing multi-disciplinary scopes, project management, on-site & off-site construction for small to large residential & commercial projects.

Olwen oversees the early-stage project feasibility and the structuring of financial strategies for projects in the real estate development practice of New Commons Development. Olwen leverages her 8 years of experience working in urban planning, affordable housing development, and resilience consulting to support development projects across Canada.

Oysharja manages development projects out of New Commons Development’s Toronto office. She has experience working with non-profit and co-operative partners to advance housing developments, including emergency shelters, transitional housing, and a range of affordable and co-op housing projects. She has a particular interest in creating programs and spaces that support vulnerable populations and equity-deserving communities.

Robin oversees the day-to-day and strategic operations across the New Market Funds platform. She has over 10 years of operations management experience with nonprofits, INGOs, and purpose-driven business in Canada and internationally.

Tanvir supports the day-to-day and strategic operations across the New Market Funds platform. She has 2 years of operations management experience within the building maintenance industry and 5 years of volunteer experience supporting various non-profits.

Ting-Yeng supports affordable housing development analysis at New Commons Development. She has experience working in government funded community development projects and participatory policy-making practices, as well as research in gentrification and non-profit housing development.
